Heat Safety
Highs are expected to climb into the 90s through the weekend. While Heat Advisory criteria may not be met, it is still crucial to practice heat safety, especially during holiday festivities. For example, never leave children or pets unattended in vehicles!

Here are some helpful tips and strategies:

  • Avoid overexertion and stay hydrated. Drink plenty before getting in the heat; not just while in it.
  • NEVER leave people or pets in a vehicle. A vehicle can reach deadly temperatures even with the windows rolled down!
  • Assist those who are at higher risk
