City of Center hiring Water Plant Operator Trainee. Duties: Operates water plant, prepares water by chemically treating it for clean safe consumption. Monitors all meters/controls to ensure that required chemical levels are maintained. Including: Running lab test for analysis, keep pumps/motors in top operating condition by performing preventive checks. Maintains grounds around plant clean/orderly. Any other job duties as requested by Supervisor. Requirements: Work flexible hours/Rotational Shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) Valid Tx Driver’s License, Good Standing Employment History. Pass background check, physical, drug screen. Education: HS Diploma or Equivalent required. Experience with “D” Water or “C” Surface Water License preferred but not required. Assistant County Auditor
Shelby County Hiring Assistant County Auditor (County Auditor Depart.) Annual Salary: $40K-$50K. Application Period: April 13-24. Job Summary and Principal Duties: Full-time. Primary duties include bi-weekly processing of payroll and all associated functions. This includes payroll functions: timesheet input, tax reconciliations, check processing, direct deposits, submittal of bi-weekly tax information, filing on quarterly 941 reports and year end W-2 processing. Associated duties include quarterly filing of unemployment calculations and new hire processing and reporting, and other auditing duties as assigned by County Auditor. Qualifications: 1. Min. 2 years’ experience in accounting/auditing. 2. Knowledge of computerized financial accounting/payroll systems. 3. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
