Chance of Rain Halloween Day; Elevated Fire Danger Persists

October 29, 2026 - Rain chances are increasing for the weekend which includes Halloween Day. It appears that the greatest rain chances appear to be during the daytime hours on Saturday with lower rain chances during the evening across most areas.

Another warm, dry day across the Four State Region. Clouds will be on the increase through the day and into tonight. Highs will range through the 80s.

Our secondary severe weather season, the Fall, can sometimes peak during the month of November across the ArkLaTex. As dry as we have been so far this Fall season, we cannot let out guard down to severe storms during the month of November.

Dry air will continue to remain in place this week. This combined with dry vegetation and drought conditions will promote an environment prone to wildfire ignitions through at least this evening. Please follow your county or parish burn ban guidance.

The hourly forecast shows chances of rain starting 7am Saturday and lasting 7pm Saturday.
