David’s Daily Devotion for August 27

August 27, 2025 - This morning we take a look at a trilogy of Bible chapters, three consecutive scripture passages that form a pattern - a pattern that we see repeated over and over in our lives.  This morning we look at Psalm 22, 23, and 24.  I would print these three psalms in their entirety, but I never write more in these daily devotions than you can read in two minutes, so I’ll just share three excerpts.

Psalm 22 - “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?  Why are you so far from saving me, so far from my cries of anguish?”  We experience trouble, trial, tragedy.

Psalm 23 - “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.  He makes me lie down in green pastures.  He leads me beside still waters.”  We remember God’s love, care, protection.

Psalm 24 - “Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of Glory may come in.”  We respond by giving Him honor, glory, praise.

Meet you back here tomorrow,

David
