February 26, 2025 - Good Morning! It’s Wednesday, February 26.
Yesterday was simply gorgeous here in Deep East Texas - 75 degrees, a picture-perfect blue sky with not a cloud n it. A “Chamber of Commerce” day, as the saying goes. That’s a day when the weather is so incredibly nice it causes people from all over the world to come and live in your town. Actually, that sounds like a premise for a horror movie. But, whatever the outcome, yesterday was just such a day.
I had the opportunity, early in the day, to sit out on my porch with my little cat, and we made time to meet there again at day’s end. We were joined by every bird in the neighborhood - flitting and flying, cooing and chirping. They weren’t very pleased with the presence of my cat, but, otherwise, they seemed to be enjoying the nice day as well. A pair of redbirds, outlined against that bright blue sky - that was a treat worth writing home about - except I was already home.
Yesterday, the fields around my house were covered with a blanket of tiny white wildflowers I guess that’s the closest we’re going to come, in this mild winter, to a covering of white. And just like Texas snow, those little buds won’t be around for very long. I hope the weather is nice where you are this week, enjoy it while you can. Take some time to experience nature, to go out into our Father’s world. Over a hundred flowers and plants are mentioned in the Bible. Take some time to check those out, too!
Isaiah 40:8 - The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the Word of our Lord endures forever.
Meet you back here tomorrow,
David
