David’s Daily Devotion for Mar. 19

March 19, 2025 - Good Morning! It’s Wednesday, March 19.

Tomorrow we’ll complete our six-part series on creation and the Creator. And it will be the first day of spring! Not exactly in the top tier of holidays. No special songs or special food. No parties or presents.  No Hallmark cards. Not even time off work. The first day of spring is in the second tier of holidays - like Columbus Day, Earth Day, Arbor Day, Groundhog Day. But it can be a special day if we let it remind us of our Creator and His creation.

Spring is a season of renewal, rebirth, regeneration - of new beginnings. Each day, this time of year, if our eyes and hearts are open, God will show us something new. Here in East Texas the grass is greening up, the wildflowers are blooming, the trees are exploding with color. And it’s all because of Him. God is good. Praises to our Creator for His beautiful creation!

Genesis 1:1 - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Hebrews 1:10 - Lord, in the beginning, You laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands.

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  All things were made by Him.

Take time today - on Vernal Equinox Eve - to look around you. Stop for a moment to admire God’s handiwork. And give your Creator a standing ovation of praise!

Meet you back here tomorrow,

David
