David’s Daily Devotion for Mar. 27

March 27, 2026 - Good Morning! It’s Friday, March 27.

Six years ago this month, the world was shut down tight. Schools, nursing homes, businesses, shops, restaurants, concerts, sporting events - and churches - all closed for the Covid pandemic. It was a bizarre experience, shared by everyone around the world, shared by you and by me. A time that we’ll always remember, even though we’d probably like to forget. And amid that chaos - on March 27, 2020 - David’s Daily Devotions began.

Some of you were readers from the beginning, lots of others have joined along the journey. It started as a way to stay connected through emails with my 30-voice church choir. It’s grown to reach out to thousands through the internet and our friends at Shelby County Today website. Little daily thoughts - each less than two minutes long - with humor and history, with culture and community, with testimony and truth. And always with the Word.

And so now, some 1500 little thoughts later, God continues to bless through this daily connection. To Him be all the glory, honor, and praise. And a big THANK YOU, on this sixth anniversary, to all our faithful readers.

Meet you back here on Monday - as we begin year seven!

David
