David’s Daily Devotion for Mar. 31

March 31, 2025 - Good Morning! It’s Tuesday, March 31. As the month of March draws to a close, Holy Week continues. And as we draw closer to Easter Sunday, the Daily Devotions continue to focus on the events of those amazing days two millennia ago. We continue to trace the steps of Jesus on the Road to Resurrection.

Tuesday of Holy Week was a day of teaching for Christ. He shared the parables of the fig tree and of the vineyard. He told the story of the widow with the two small coins. And He answered the Pharisees by saying, “Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s, and unto God that which is God’s”. Jesus was always true to His calling. Even as He was being persecuted and plotted against - He continued to teach. Even knowing full well how this week would end - He continued to teach. Jesus was faithful. The Bible teaches us time after time that God doesn’t need our talents. He just wants our faithfulness.

You can read all that Jesus taught that Tuesday in Luke 20 & 21. In verse 21:3 we read - “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall never pass away.” Lyrics from a song by the Contemporary Christian group “Mercy Me “ seem appropriate.

Word of God speak, won’t You pour down like rain
Washing my eyes to see Your majesty
To be still and know that You’re in this place
Please let me stay and rest in Your holiness
Word of God speak

Meet you back here tomorrow,
David
