This Saturday, March 9, First Baptist Center will welcome women from around East Texas to our annual Women's Conference. It's free, and you can register and find more info at fbccenter.org.
Here's a short list of some great women of the Bible -
*Ruth - loving daughter
*Deborah - wise judge
*Esther - courageous queen
*Sarah - mother of nations
*Miriam - caring sister
*Mary of Bethany - faithful follower
*Mary Magdalene - brave disciple
*Priscilla - respected teacher
And, of course, Mary of Nazareth, no more than a girl that night in Bethlehem, but with a mature and amazing faith. The Bible is often described as a male-centered story, and, certainly, a list of men of the Word would have been many times as long. But, though relatively few in number, the women of the Bible were great in faith, and continue to serve as great examples to us all.
