David’s Daily Devotion for Nov. 5

November 5, 2024 - Good Morning! It’s Tuesday, November 5 - Election Day!

Elections belong to the people. - Abraham Lincoln

The right to vote is the right upon which all other rights depend. - Thomas Paine

If you don’t vote, you lose the right to complain. - George Carlin

We do not have government by the majority, we have government by the majority who participate. - Thomas Jefferson

Someone sacrificed for your right to vote. Use it.  -  Susan B. Anthony

We vote not because we’re liberals or conservatives, but because we’re Americans. - George W. Bush

I hope you’re planning to vote today, or perhaps you’re one of the 78 million people who voted early.   Whatever the outcome tonight - or whenever the final vote is counted - it is an honor to exercise our sacred right, to do our sacred duty.

I close today with this sacred prayer.

God bless America, land that I love
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night, with the light from above
From the mountains to the prairies
To the oceans white with foam
God bless America, my home, sweet home
God bless America, my home, sweet home

Meet you back here tomorrow,

David
