Did you go to Vacation Bible School when you were a kid? I imagine that you did. Lots of great memories. The 2024 version of VBS is different, in many ways, from the ones I remember. But some things remain the same.
At my church's VBS, this coming Monday morning, we'll begin with an opening ceremony. And just like in the old days, we'll stand and pledge allegiance to the American flag, the Christian flag, and the Bible. I remember singing a special song after each pledge, and the Bible song was always "The B-I-B-L-E."
Oh, the B-I-B-L-E, yes that's the book for me
I stand alone on the Word of God, the B-I-B-L-E!
VBS music is different now, and there's a whole new set of songs each summer. But our focus, our foundation remains the same. The Word of God.
