David's Daily Devotion for September 3

September 3, 2025 - Good Morning! It’s Wednesday, September 3.

When you walk into a lot of churches you’ll find a room called The Fellowship Hall. It’s a place where the congregation gathers - gathers for potluck meals, for banquets, for special occasions - for well, fellowship.

That’s kind of a “church” word, fellowship. It’s our word for what the world would call a party.

But when the Bible uses that word fellowship, it goes to something much deeper, a deeper connection, a spiritual connection. Luke writes about it in Acts 2:44, and his words paint a beautiful picture of the church.

“And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common.”

The Greek word that Luke uses is “koinonia,” a term that translates into “sharing.” Our relationships, as Christian brothers and sisters, as a family of God, are deep and spiritual. We share an eternal fellowship.

Meet you back here tomorrow,
David
