
March 26, 2026 - 12 Individual Regional Qualifiers and 18 Alternates Represent Joaquin ISD
Joaquin ISD is proud to recognize the students who competed at the 2025-2026 UIL Conference 2A District 23 Academic Contest. The Rams had a wonderful day of competition, earning 12 individual regional qualifiers and 18 regional alternates across a wide range of events. We are proud of each and every student who stepped up to represent Joaquin ISD.
Highlights from the Contest:
In Calculator Applications, Kolton Scruggs (1st), Sean Fry (2nd), and Everett Groeling (3rd) each earned spots at the Region meet. The team of Scruggs, Groeling, Fry, and Lyndrey Lightfoot finished 1st overall to advance to Region.
In Poetry Interpretation, Lucinda David (1st), Stormie Meyers (2nd), and Kyleigh McKim (3rd) all earned regional qualifying spots — a wonderful achievement for three Rams to advance from the same event.
