January 16, 2025 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding their very first monthly meeting of 2025 this Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the First Methodist Church, 211 Cora Street, Center, Texas from 9am to 12 noon.
The January Challenge is "Photographer's Choice" Members will submit up to three photos, of their choice, for voting and discussion. Any theme, any subject, any technique. Rules do not apply here. There will also be a workshop presented on "Abstract Macro Photography" in preparation for the February Challenge.
Each month has a Challenge for members to participate in, including suggestions, tips and advice about how to better their photo. Also, a teaching workshop to help in preparing for the next month's challenge.
Visitors are welcome to attend. If you are interested in photography, or just wanting to learn more about how to operate your camera better to take family/vacation photos, plan on attending our January meeting, or any of the monthly meetings. Each monthly meeting is on the third Saturday of each month.
