January 24, 2025 - As temperatures drop and winter settles in, Shelby County Outreach Ministries (SCOM) calls on the community to help ensure that local individuals and families experiencing hardship stay warm this season.
The organization is launching its annual Winter Warmth Drive and urgently needs new blankets and portable heaters donations.
Shelby County Outreach Ministries works year-round to provide essential resources and support to those in need within Shelby County. The Winter Warmth Drive is a critical part of their outreach efforts during the colder months. The organization aims to collect a large number of new blankets and portable heaters to distribute to vulnerable individuals and families throughout the community.
Donations of new blankets and portable heaters can be dropped off at the following location:

Monetary donations to help purchase additional supplies are also gratefully accepted and can be sent to PO Box 1029 Center, TX. You can also donate in person at the Shelby County Outreach Ministries main office.
