July 28, 2023 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 2nd day of August, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
- Approve and pay weekly expenses.
- Public comments on Agenda item.
- Approve Current Payroll.
- Discuss and consider the Declaration and Order Prohibiting Outdoor Burning.
- Discuss with District Clerk, Lori Oliver and possibly take action on HB#3474, Article 8 regarding an increase in Jurors pay to take effect on September 1, 2023.
- Discuss the request from JP Broadway to discontinue compensation for his duties as interim JP for Precinct 4.
- Discuss and possibly approve the application for the 2nd payment of the Local Assistance and Tribal Consistency Fund (LATCF) established by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
- Discuss and possibly approve a request from Chief Deputy Ruth Gonzales to obtain quotes to scan the SO’s paper files.
- Review and possible accept bids for the (3) Constable vehicles.
- Adjourn.
