September 3, 2026 - Notice is hereby given that a Regular meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 9th day of September 2026 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve the minutes of: Aug 5th Special Meeting, August 12th Regular Meeting, August 19th Special Meeting, and August 26th Special Meeting.
2. Approve weekly expenses.
3. Approve current payroll.
4. Public comments on agenda item.
5. Approve officers report.
6. Discuss and possibly take action on the current Burn Ban.
7. Discuss and possibly approve to set the fee amount for San Augustine ISD with the purpose of Elections Administrator Nancy Adams to oversee the ISD bond election for Precinct 6.
8. Discuss and possibly approve the number of Reserve Deputy Sheriffs allowed at any given time and specify that these are unpaid positions. At their appointment, they must file an Oath of Office and execute and file a bond in the amount of $2000.00 payable to the Sheriff. The Oath and Bond must be filed with the County Clerk.
9. COMMISSIONERS’ COURT REPORTS: These are for informational purposes only. Any action that needs to be taken on the basis of these reports will be placed on a future agenda for action.
