February 28, 2025 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 5th day of March, 2025 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve and pay weekly expenses.
2. Public comments on Agenda item.
3. Discuss and take action on Texas Association of Counties 2025 Program Agreement for ACA Reporting and Tracking Services. (ARTS)
4. Discuss and possibly approve the quote from Encore Music for the installation of audio and technology equipment for the County Judge and Commissioners Courtroom.
5. Discuss and possibly approve a Proclamation declaring the month of March as American Red Cross Month.
6. Discuss and possibly approve a Resolution opposing the elimination of the countywide polling place program, electronic poll books and electronic marking devices.
7. Presentation by Jail Administrator regarding the need for a full-time nurse on staff and explain possible cost saving to the County.
8. Discuss and possibly approve Road and Bridge Pct. 3 to assist City of Joaquin with road maintenance.
9. Commissioner’s Court Reports: These are for informational purposes only. Any action that needs to be taken on the basis of these reports will be placed on a future agenda for action.
