September 24, 2025 - Fully involved structureNotice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 30th day of September 2025 at 3pm in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve and pay weekly expenses.
2. Public comments on Agenda item.
3. Representatives with Charter Communications/Spectrum to present the Court with details regarding the Rural Digital Opportunity Funding (RDOF) high speed fiber internet build in Shelby County.
4. Discuss and possibly approve (2) nominations to the Shelby County Appraisal District of Directors for the 2026-2027 term.
5. Allow the District Clerk’s office to begin taking credit card payments using Certified Payments with no cost to the County.
6. Approve the donation of Commissioner 4, Tom Bellmeyer’s increase in salary in the amount of $1,167.43 to the General Fund as allowed in LGC 152.002 and LGC 81.032.
7. Approve the donation of (2) used Tahoe’s from the Desoto Parish Sheriff’s Department to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department.
8. Discuss and possibly approve the proposal for installation of video surveillance system for Shelby County Juvenile Probation Department.
9. Discuss and possibly approve Precinct 2 to utilize county equipment to mow the right of way in front of the youth baseball/softball fields located at Shelbyville ISD to ensure public safety.
10. Discuss the possible lease or purchase of a vehicle for the office of Constable Pct 5.
11. Commissioners' Court Reports: These are for informational purposes only. Any action that needs to be taken on the basis of these reports will be placed on a future agenda for action.
