The Center Roughriders fell at Athens High School Friday by a 43-26 score. Their overall record is at 7-2 and they have a 2-2 District 8 4A-2 mark. Center will host the Rusk Eagles at Roughriders Stadium on Friday, November 8 at 7:30 p.m. for Senior Night. Rusk is 2-7, 1-3 after suffering a 49-7 thrashing at home to the Carthage Bulldogs.
The Joaquin Rams varsity football team trailed early but rallied to take a 44-28 District 11 2A-1 win over the visiting Shelbyville Dragons last Thursday. The Rams will next face the Garrison Bulldogs, at Bulldogs Stadium on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. The Bulldogs are 6-2, 2-1.
Shelbyville is 7-2 on the season and 3-1 in District 11 2A-1. They will host the Hemphill Hornets at Dragons Stadium on Friday, November 8 at 7:30 p.m. for Senior Night. The Hornets are 1-8, 0-4 after a 45-24 home loss to the San Augustine Wolves.
The Tenaha Tigers varsity football season ended with a 48-0 loss on the road at Grapeland. The Tigers season ended with them holding a 2-8 season mark and they were 1-5 in District 11 2A-2 conference play.
The Timpson Bears suffered 22-19 point District 11 2A-1 football loss to the Garrison Bulldogs on Friday. This week Bears will head to San Augustine on Friday, November 8 for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff at Wolves Stadium. The Wolves are 4-5 overall and 1-3 in District 11 after a 45-24 road win at Hemphill last Friday.
