October 20, 2025 - This past weekend, five fine marching bands from Shelby County proudly represented our schools at the University Interscholastic League Region 21 Marching Band Contest in Longview, Texas. Each band brought their energy, discipline, and hard-earned preparation to the field.
Here are the schools and their scores:
- Center Roughrider Band — Score: Division 1
- Shelbyville Dragon Band — Score: Division 1
- Joaquin Ram Band — Score: Division 2
- Timpson Bear Band — Score: Division 2
- Tenaha Tiger Band — Score: Division 1
We salute every student, director, and booster who dedicated countless hours to rehearsals, uniform preparations, and the logistics of this event. Your efforts were clearly visible, from the sharp marching techniques to the musical precision on the field.
Advancing to State — Military Class
In this marching season, the Military Class bands that earn the necessary rating (Division 1) advance directly to the State Military Marching Band Contest!
The State Military Contest will be held on the campus of Baylor University (McLane Stadium) in Waco, Texas on October 29, 2025!
