September 29, 2026 - County Road 3068 was the scene of a truck-tractor rollover early Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
Poultry haulers were removing chickens from a farm located approximately 1/4 mile from FM 414.
Sometime before 6:30am a chicken hauler was exiting the property when another truck was approaching.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety State Trooper Matt Chandler, a red Kenworth truck tractor driven by Anwar Jerome Wesley, 44, of San Augustine for JBS Carriers was exiting a private driveway when he saw another truck attempting to enter the private driveway. Wesley backed up to allow room for the other truck and backed into a ditch. Wesley then exited the truck and it tipped over onto its right side.
Wesley was not reported to have been injured as a result of the incident, and the load of chickens remained secured to the trailer.
The incident remains under investigation.
Center Fire Department responded to the location and Shelby County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Brandon Ingram also assisted.
