February 4, 2026 - Center ISD was honored to host a Letter of Intent signing ceremony for two of their senior football athletes, Decaden Cooks and Cody Adkinson, on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. With family and friends in attendance, Decaden Cooks signed with MidAmerica Nazarene University in Kansas and Cody Adkinson signed with Southwest Baptist in Missouri.

Athletic Director Coach Jack Alvarez thanked everyone for coming and recognized the young men signing letters, "Hey, we're here today, I just want to say a few words... [Decaden and Cody are] very talented guys, played really good for this school for 4 years, and we're proud to give it a chance to send them off to further their education and also get to play a game that they love... I just want to congratulate them."
Coach Alvarez added, "What I do want to encourage them to do is be a finisher. You start to college to play football, finish playing football; number one, finish getting that degree. That's something nobody can ever, ever take away."
"Hey, thank you guys very much. I appreciate it. One of the main reasons I like to do signing days, I make sure we get to do this, and so these guys know they truly are supported. This whole room came here to support them today. A lot of family and friends take pictures. That's very, very important as these guys go off," finished Coach Alvarez. Individuals were then invited to come forward to get photos with them.
