November 2, 2021 - The Lady Dragons Volleyball team made Shelbyville proud on Monday, November 1, 2021 in their game against Overton in the Bi-District round of playoffs. The Dragons lost in five sets but fought the Mustangs to the last stretch of the race.

The Dragons took a bit to get going losing the first two sets 25-9 and 25-20 but after the newness of the playoffs wore off, the Dragons got down to business winning the third set (10-25) and fourth (21/25) set to stay in the game.

November 1, 2021 - According to the Texas DSHS Covid-19 Dashboard, during the month of October Covid-19 cases decreased considerably over the previous month of September. The number of actives cases peaked after the first week of October to the 160 range and held for several days before starting to decrease drastically to now being less than 20 estimated active cases. Septembers highest estimated active cases count reached 223 mid month and ended the month at its lowest at 156.

October 25, 2021 - Business After Hours at White Cottage Mercantile last Thursday was a huge success with an hour and a half of good music, fun, food, and fellowship to enjoy while shopping! The parking lot was full of vehicles coming and going from the event.

October 22, 2021 - Jamarion Evans, Center ISD football player, is a candidate for SBLive’s Texas High School Athlete of the Week for Oct. 11-17!

His nomination states: Jamarion Evans, Center WR - Evans caught five passes for 131 yards and two TDs in Center’s 60-44 win over Shepherd on Friday.
