COVID-19 Dashboard Update: 26 New Cases in 1 Week; Data Discrepancy

April 14, 2021 - According to the Texas DSHS Covid-19 Dashboard, since April 7th a total of 26 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported. Of the new cases, 7 were new confirmed cases and 19 were new probable cases. Just as a reminder, confirmed cases are a person who has tested positive through a molecular test that looks for the virus’s genetic material and probable cases are a person who has either tested positive through an antigen test or has a combination of symptoms and a known exposure to someone with COVID-19 without a more likely diagnosis.

Covid-19 Update: 11 New Cases Since Monday, 98 Active Cases

April 7, 2021 - According to the Texas DSHS Covid-19 Dashboard, the data reflected Wednesday, April 7th, there have been 11 new cases added since Monday, April 5th. Of the new cases, 6 were new confirmed cases and 5 were new probable cases.

The active cases have been decreasing and have remained in the 80s since March 3rd. However, the new cases pushed the active count over the 90 threshold to 93 on Tuesday and 98 on Wednesday.

Shelby County to Receive 200 Johnson & Johnson Vaccines

April 3, 2021 - The 17th week of vaccine distribution started April 5, 2021 and Shelby County has one provider on the list. Aurora Concepts is allocated to receive 200 Johnson and Johnson vaccine doses. Aurora Concepts can be contacted at 936-598-3296 to schedule a vaccine.

Shelby County, a part of Public Health Region 4/5N, reports over the past week an additional 402 people have been vaccinated with at least one dose for a total of 3,914. Of the estimated population, 20.12% of Shelby County has received at least one dose.
