January 13, 2021 - The Texas COVID-19 Dashboard added a total of 22 new cases of COVID-19 for a new largest single day increase for the 2021 year. The previous record was January 3rd with 18 cases. 

Of the new cases, 5 were confirmed cases and 17 were probable cases.

The surge of cases continues to push up the active case count which is now 180 and once again no new recoveries were reported allowing the numbers to continue to grow unimpeded.

January 12, 2021 - The Texas COVID-19 Dashboard added a total of 13 new cases of COVID-19 for a new active case count of 158. Of the new cases, 7 were confirmed cases and 6 were probable cases.

January 9, 2021 - Since Thursday new cases of COVID-19 are now 24 higher increasing the total active cases to 125.

The Texas COVID-19 Dashboard reports 22 new confirmed cases and 2 new probable cases.

The dashboard also reports another death for a total of 41.

No new recoveries were reported over the past two days.

January 6, 2021 - New cases of COVID-19 continue to be reported with 14 new cases overnight and no new recoveries.

The Texas COVID-19 Dashboard reports 7 of the new cases are confirmed cases and 7 are probable cases.

The total active cases increase to 93 and is getting closer to triple digits.

January 5, 2021 - After having a surge of cases at the beginning of the year, the Texas COVID-19 Dashboard reports only 2 new cases over the past two days. The lower numbers are a welcomed difference from the 32 new cases disclosed over the first three days of the year.

No new recoveries were reported and the total confirmed cases reduced by one leaving the estimated total active cases to an increase of one for a total of 79.
