May 15, 2018 - Long-time city Alderman and Mayor Pro-Tem of Tenaha, Natalie Harris, was recently appointed to the position of City Manager for the City of Tenaha on Monday, April 30, 2018 during a regularly scheduled meeting at 4pm.
At the onset of the meeting, several community members took the opportunity to speak about items on the agenda up for consideration by the council.
May 14, 2018 - Shelby County was the scene of a fatal crash early Saturday, May 12, 2018 in the Patroon Community involving a Cleburne woman.

April 13, 2018 - A Shelby County Grand Jury handed down 44 indictments involving 29 individuals on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. The grand jury was impaneled for the January 2018 term of the 273rd Judicial District Court.
April 6, 2018 - A Shelby County Justice of the Peace is currently under investigation by the Texas Rangers and District Attorney's Office.
According to information provided to Shelby County Today by Stephen Shires, Shelby County District Attorney through an open records request, Jenny Hicks - Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace has been under investigation by the Texas Rangers for the alleged offense of Theft by Public Servant/Official Misconduct.
