September 9, 2016 - The Center Fire Department was dispatched to a mobile home on fire off Waterhouse Road September 9, 2016.

September 10, 2016 - Ryan Moore has been fighting Leukemia, and has been in Memphis, Tn. receiving treatments. When Center Police officers learned of Moore's return to Shelby County, they had the brilliant idea to give the young man a welcome home.

September 9, 2016 - A Center man involved in a single-vehicle crash on Louisiana Street in Center was flown by helicopter from the Center Municipal Airport on Friday, September 9, 2016.

September 7, 2016 - The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) was dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 84 (Haslam Strip) at CR 2787 where the Nu-Way is located on Monday September 5, 2016 at 12:45am. A vehicle had fled the scene previous to the arrival of officers.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety State Trooper Taylor Buster, an 18-wheeler that was traveling on U.S. Highway 84 was side-swiped. It was a 2011 Mack truck driven by Kevin Charles Wilson, 43, of Mansfield, La. for Key Energy Services, LLC.
