January 31, 2019 - Panola shook off a slow start and came back to beat Bossier Parish 76-60 at home Wednesday night. Panola got behind early but was able to take a 36-29 lead in at halftime. After another slow start to the second half, the Ponies found themselves down 49-48 with just over 9 minutes to play.

January 28, 2019 - Panola College opened up the season at home with a 3 game sweep of the Baton Rouge Bears. The Pony bats were alive all weekend blasting a total of 8 homeruns and scoring 36 runs on the weekend.
January 28, 2019 - A total team effort was not enough for the Fillies who dropped an 82-91 overtime thriller against the #14 Angelina Roadrunners Saturday in District 14 play.
A game that saw over 20 lead changes and 15 ties. The Fillies entered the fourth quarter with a seven-point lead, which would reach as high 10. But the Roadrunners would come roaring back and would take the lead with four minutes left in the contest. The back and forth battle continued with both teams responding.
January 25, 2019 - New Head Volleyball coach Nicole Thorn added Carthage native Macy Cherry to her coaching staff this past week. " We're extremely excited to have Macy join our program and our family. She has a tremendous work ethic and great personality that I think will mesh well with our team. We're blessed to have her on board," stated Coach Thorn.
January 24, 2019 - Panola went into Trinity Valley Wednesday and came away with an 84-65 victory. The Ponies were able to ride the hot hands of Josh Williams (27 points) 10-13, 6-7 from 3 and Kamari Brown (21 points) 9-11, 3-5 from 3 to the win. Panola would start out the game hot and lead 42-35 at half. In the second half the lead would only grow from there. Panola’s defense held the Cardinals to only 36% from the floor and were able to hold their best player, Tyson Jolly who came in averaging close to 30 points per game, to 17 points.
January 24, 2019 - For the second straight game, a defensive driven first half leads the Fillies to another win. After a 21-5 start, the Fillies would take off running, beating the Jacksonville College Jaguars, 68-46. The Fillies, who on Saturday held Bossier Parish to an eight-point quarter, brought the same defense home Wednesday. The Fillies held the Jaguars to a mere 5 points in the first, 6 in the second and 13 in the third. The Fillies lead reached 30 points at one point in the game.
January 21, 2019 - The Fillies bounced back from Wednesday’s loss with a win against the Bossier Parrish , 98-68. The Fillies defense was integral to their win, holding the Cavaliers to 15 points in the 1st quarter, 17 points in the second, and a mere 8 in the third. The defense propelled the offense in this game. The lead ballooned to over 30 late in the second half.
