April 30, 2024 — To better reflect its mission and scope, Stephen F. Austin State University’s STEM Research and Learning Center has been renamed the STEM Education and Research Center. This name change marks an exciting new chapter in the center's commitment to serving the educational needs of local school districts in deep East Texas.

Austin State University’s affiliation with The University of Texas System, SFA has partnered with virtual health and well-being provider, TimelyCare, as part of the university’s ongoing commitment to provide and improve health and well-being services to its student body. The partnership, which began in January, greatly expands and streamlines existing services and adds new opportunities for students to seek mental and physical health support.
