June 18, 2026 - This is a reminder that June is hunger Awareness month in Shelby County. Many people in our community struggle with food insecurity. Shelby County Outreach Ministries and the Senior Nutrition Site are seeking donations of canned food, non-perishable items, and monetary contributions to support local residents in need.
Food donations can be dropped off at two locations:
- Shelby County Outreach Ministries: 930 Shelbyville Street, Center, TX 75935
- Senior Nutrition Site: 124 Haley Drive, Center, TX 75935
June 5, 2018 - Shelby County Outreach Ministries thanks Mr. Steven Stendley, Center Postmaster, the Center Post Office Employees, and the community for conducting and supporting the recent National Association of Letter Carriers, Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
The donation is a tremendous help to Shelby County Outreach Ministries, a 501 C3 agency. We are dedicated to feeding the hungry and assisting those in need.
