January 27, 2026 - Due to lingering effects of the winter storm and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our students and staff, Center ISD will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28.

Many roads remain icy, and there are still downed trees, making travel unsafe for buses and car riders. Additionally, some district buildings are still without power.

We plan to resume a regular start and normal school day on Thursday, January 29.

January 20, 2026 - The Roughrider Broadcast Team looks forward to bringing tonight's livestream of the Lady Riders and the Roughriders as they host the Rusk Eagles tonight in District Play. 

The pre-game begins at 6pm and the Ladies will tip off at (or near) 6:15. The Gentlemen's game is immediately following, likely around 7:30pm.

January 20, 2026 - Center ISD proudly celebrated the accomplishments of 20 outstanding students who successfully completed Roughrider Academy. Their hard work, dedication, and perseverance have truly paid off.

January 16, 2026 - Ten schools participated in the Roughrider Academic Rodeo on Saturday, January 10, showcasing outstanding academic talent and teamwork.

January 12, 2026 - A Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of Center Independent School District will be held on January 14, 2026 beginning at 5:15pm in the Center Independent School District Board Room, 107 Private Road 605, Center, TX 75935.
