Piney Woods Photographic Society May Challenge Winners

May 17, 2021 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday, May 15, 2021 in Center, TX. There was a workshop presentation on tips and techniques for still life photography in preparation for June’s Challenge on Still Life Photography. The May Challenge featured photographs submitted by members for critique and voting on Flowers. After much discussion and voting the top favorites are listed below.

Piney Woods Photographic Society May Meeting

May 11, 2021 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) will be holding their regular monthly meeting this Saturday, May 15, 2021, 9am to 12 noon at the First United Methodist Church, 211 Church St., Center, TX.

There will be a workshop on “Composition/Still Life” and the May Challenge is “Flowers.”

PWPS Monthly Meeting Workshop is "Better Flower Photography"

April 13, 2021 - There will be a Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) monthly meeting this Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church, 211 Porter St., Center, TX, starting at 9am until 12 noon. There will be a workshop of "Better Flower Photography" and the April Challenge will be member's photographs submitted for voting on "Flight." These photographs will highlight birds or other things in flight.

Piney Woods Photographic Society March Challenge "Architecture" Favorites

March 22, 2021 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society's goal is to help you become a better photographer and give you a place to meet others who share your passion for photography. Featuring programs and activities with information and instruction for all skill levels in an environment of support and cooperation.

PWPS Regular Meeting Mar. 20

March 18, 2021 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society will be holding their regular monthly meeting Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 9am - 12pm at the First United Methodist Church, 211 Porter St., Center, TX. There will be a monthly challenge of photographs submitted by club members featuring Architectural photos and a workshop about taking great photos on "Flight in Motion."

Piney Woods Photographic Society February Challenge "Window Lighting" Winners

February 23, 2021 - The PWPS was not able to have their February meeting this past Saturday, but were able to hold the February Challenge "Window Lighting" with members voting on-line for their favorites.

January 18, 2021 - The virtual challenge for January "Photographers Choice" always has been one of my favorites. It gives each photographer the chance to show their favorite style of photography. Club members enjoyed a variety of Photography styles to select from for favorites.

January 10, 2021 - Due to the spike in Covid 19 cases, the Piney Woods Photographic Society January meeting has been cancelled. There will be a virtual monthly challenge “Photographers Choice” to be viewed on the club Flickr Page - https://www.flickr.com/groups/pineywoodsphotographic/

PWPS encourages everyone to stay safe and be considerate of others and hopefully February will be a better outlook.

Piney Woods Photographic Society "What's That?" Contest Winners

November 22, 2020 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday in Center, Texas at the First United Methodist Church. The monthly challenge "What's That?" showed members having fun doing abstract photography. There was also a workshop featuring editing in Lightroom/Photoshop and updates. With the Covid 19 keeping some members quarantined, voting was done, both virtual and in person.
