January 17, 2018 - After conferring with our Board President Aaron Roland, Vice President Ronnie Samford, and various TISD administration members and staff, we have made the decision to close operations for the remainder of the week due to excessive absenteeism due to the recent outbreak of the flu. Upon return to classes today, 20% of the student population and 15% of staff are absent and many of those have been confirmed with Type A flu or flu-like symptoms and/or fever.
January 10, 2018 — January is School Board Recognition Month and Tenaha Independent School District is joining other districts across the state to thank these community volunteers for their commitment and contributions to our public schools.
November 16, 2017 - A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of Tenaha ISD will be held November 27, 2017, beginning at 5:30pm in the boardroom of the administration office located at 138 College Street, Tenaha, Texas 75974.

October 30, 2017 - Tenaha 4th grade students got a hands on lesson discerning what a mixture is and what a solution is during their class recently. Students utilized pretzels, cereal, dried fruits, and marshmellows as an example of a mixture. Punch to go with the trail mix was their example of a solution. Students were able to observe the mixtures and solutions to answer questions presented to them by their teacher.
