February 11, 2021 - Huxley Helping Hands Drive Thru food pantry will be Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, Center TX at 9:am. Must show ID and be in line by 9:30am to receive a box.
February 9, 2021 - The Lady Dragons will play Broaddus at Wells High School, Thursday, Feb. 11 at 7pm. Admission is $4 Adults, $3 Students. We are the Home team.
The following passes will be accepted: TABC, THSCA, TGCA Members, and District 23 and 24 passes.
February 2, 2021 - Shelbyville FFA Welding Team Grady Clay, Clayton Hinton, Eli Taylor and Jedd Wagstaff competed in the 14’ Trailer Build-Off in West Hardin on January 29, 2021. They placed 4th and each Jr. and Sr. that participated received a $250 scholarship to the Tulsa Welding School.
January 20, 2021 - The month of January is proclaimed School Board Recognition Month to emphasize the importance of the men and women across the state of Texas who serve on school boards. Shelbyville I.S.D. students benefit every day from the dedication and commitment to public education of our local trustees. Our current board members are Mark Bohannon, President, 7 years; Lori Alvis, Vice-President, 2 years; Joey Lawson, Secretary, 8 years; Joe Tom Schillings, 12 years; Tim Bradshaw, 7 years; Chris Koltonski, 5 years; and Duane Lout, 8 years.
January 13, 2021 - Huxley Helping Hands Drive-Thru Food Pantry will be Saturday, January 16 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, Center, TX at 9am. Must show ID and be in line by 9:30am to receive a box. Only one box per household will be given.
November 19, 2020 - The Shelbyville High School Band received a First Division Rating at the UIL Region Marching Contest Wednesday at Carthage Stadium. This is the highest rating given by UIL. The band overcame many setbacks and hardships due to the Covid-19 virus to reach this point and would like to thank everyone that supported them this Fall.
This win qualifies Shelbyville to attend the Texas State Military Marching Band Championship at Pine Tree Stadium on Dec. 9. This competition will decide the 2020 State Champion.
