FEMA Offers Hurricane Assistance Location This Week (Updated time)

September 12, 2024 - FEMA will be providing assistance for residents of Shelby County on Thursday, September 12 from 10am - 7pm; and Friday, September 13 from 8am - 5pm, at First Baptist Church Family Life Center, behind main building.

If you have had damage from the storm, Hurricane Beryl, and need help with filing for assistance or learning about all assistance that is available.

May 20, 2022 - Shelby County will have an online survey from May 19th to June 2nd, in order to gather information for their Hazard Mitigation Plan.

May 28, 2021 - Gospel singing will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. Musicians set up at 5:30. A meal will be provided.

Some of the Musicians will be Danny and Rebecca Wall and the Wall Brothers, Mike Belgard and Harold Walker. If you would like to take part, just come.

Directions to church: FM 699 4.9 miles, turn right on CR 3129 go 0.3 mile and turn right on first road to right past large culvert.

Antioch Homecoming Set for May 2nd

April 26, 2021 - The Antioch Homecoming will be held Sunday, May 2, 2021. Church service and business meeting will begin at 11:00. Dinner on the grounds will begin at 12:00 noon.

April 15, 2020 - The Antioch Cemetery Homecoming, Center, Texas is scheduled for May 3, 2020 has been cancelled due to COVID-19. The cemetery will still need donations for its upkeep. Center Intermediate School UIL Team Place 4th at District

February 3, 2015 - Center Intermediate, 4th and 5th grade, competed in UIL in Carthage Saturday, January 24, 2015. It was a very competitive district meet with Henderson, Carthage, Rusk and Tatum participating. Center ended up placing 4th overall. However, we were only 9 points away from 2rd and 17 points from 3rd overall. In the rankings for Intermediate schools, Center Intermediate came in 2nd. We are very proud of our students and their hard work.
