District Deputy Grand Master's Visit

March 7, 2019 - The District Deputy Grand Master of Masonic District 15 of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas will make an official visit to Sam Samford Lodge 149 in Center. His visit will be made at the stated meeting of the lodge on March 12, 2019.

A covered dish dinner will be served at 6:30pm and the meeting will follow at 7:30pm. The lodge is located on US Hwy 96 S approximately one half mile inside Loop 500.

We look forward to seeing you and hopefully a brother that you bring with you.

Fraternity of Freemasons

January 16, 2019 - A fraternity is a group of men having the quality of being brothers, a brotherhood of men who share common interest and purpose.

The purpose of the Fraternity of Free Masons is to take a good man and make him better. Sam Samford Lodge #149 in Center has its stated meeting on the second Tuesday of each month beginning with food and fellowship at 6:30pm. Each Thursday at 6:30pm, we meet for fellowship and study of the esoteric work.

The lodge is located on Hwy 96 South about one half mile inside Loop 500. Member or not, come by for a visit.

East Texas Disciples Monthly Meeting

June 4, 2018 - The East Texas Disciples, chapter of the Christian Motorcyclist Association invite you to attend our monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at T&R Steaks & More at 7 PM. Come early to get your food and then feel free to continue your meal during the meeting. CMA is a Christian ministry primarily but not exclusively to motorcyclist. Come and bring a friend for food and fun!

Sam Samford Masonic Lodge Spring Fundraiser

January 16, 2018 - Sam Samford Masonic Lodge in Center is announcing their Spring Fundraiser Raffle. The raffle item is a Husqvarna, zero turn, 54 inch cut, mower. Tickets are $20 each or 6, for $100.

The drawing will be on March 13th, 2018 just in time for spring. Tickets can be obtained from any Lodge member.

Sam Samford Lodge Raising Funds for Scholarships

September 8, 2017 - Each year Sam Samford Lodge presents scholarships to two graduating seniors of Center High School. Funds are raised for the scholarships through the sale of raffle tickets. Tickets may be purchased from Lodge members or at our booth at the Poultry Festival.

Sam Samford Masonic Lodge Scholarship Fundraiser BBQ

June 29, 2017 - Students will be starting back to school soon and the Sam Samford Masonic Lodge scholarship checks will be issued. Each year the lodge gives two scholarships to Center High School graduates. On Saturday, July 15th between 11 AM and 1 PM the lodge will be accepting donations to fund the scholarships.

Sam Samford Lodge to Confer Entered Apprentice Degree (Rescheduled)

May 11, 2017 - The Entered Apprentice Mason Degree set for tonight at Sam Samford Lodge has been rescheduled for next Thursday Night, May 18.

Sandwiches at 6:30 with the degree following. You are still welcome to attend tonight for fellowship and study at 6:30.

May 10, 2017 - Sam Samford Lodge, 149, will confer an Entered Apprentice Degree, Thursday evening, May 11th. Sandwiches will be served at 6:30 and the degree will follow.

East Texas Disciples "Run for the Son" Fundraiser

April 19, 2017 - Run For The SON, the annual fund raiser for the East Texas Disciples, local chapter of the Christian Motorcyclist Association will be held this Saturday, April 22 on the NAPA parking lot across from Wal-Mart in Center.

Between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm we will have giant baked potato's loaded with BBQ and all the other fixings, cookies and a drink for an $8 donation.

East Texas Disciples Chapter CMA April Meeting

April 3, 2017 - The East Texas Disciples Chapter of the Christian Motorcyclist Association will hold its monthly meeting at T&R Steaks &More, tomorrow evening April 4, 2017, beginning at 7:00. CMA is a Christian ministry, primarily but not exclusively to motorcyclist.

You are welcome no matter what kind of bike you ride or even if you don’t ride a bike.

So come visit, share some fun and find out what we’re all about.

Sam Samford Masonic Lodge February Stated Meeting

February 13, 2017 - Sam Samford Masonic Lodge #149 in Center will hold its February stated meeting tomorrow night, February 14. We will begin at 6:30 with a covered dish dinner. The meeting will start promptly at 7:30. You are cordially invited and needed to help in our efforts to spread the cement of brotherly love and affection which has and will continue to unite us into the greatest fraternity in the world.
