November 3, 2022 - One of the things there is too little of in our world today is praise. People have become so filled with critical ideas and harsh words that a little genuine praise and appreciation is often mistaken for flattery. Yet, every heart yearns for appreciation. All of us want to know that our efforts, however small they might be, are appreciated and noticed.
October 27, 2022 - In case you don’t feel like there is enough pressure in your life, I want to remind you it is just slightly over 8 weeks until Christmas. Many of you have already started your Christmas shopping. Some of you will wait until December 20th or 21st to get started. Thinking about that, we often hear people talk about “choosing a church” or “looking for a church home” like they were doing their Christmas Shopping. I have heard folks say, “I am shopping around for a church and when I find the one I want, I’ll join it.”

October 6, 2022 - If you remember reading Paul’s letter to the church at Rome, he had a burning desire to preach the gospel in the Capital city,. In Acts chapter 27, we find Paul on his way to Rome, yet he is going as a prisoner. While there, he would have a great success and members of Caesar’s household would be converted.
September 29, 2022 - Have you ever been in a Bible Class, one where you are asked to quote a scripture, and someone invariably quotes John 11:35. “Jesus Wept”? They laugh, others laugh because they have been so clever as to quote the shortest verse in the Bible.

Yet, Jesus said in Matthew 7:14, “Strait is the gate and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life and few there be that find it.” There are actually other areas of life where you find narrow-mindedness.
There is no room for being broadminded in the chemical laboratory. Water is composed of two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. The slightest deviation from this formula means you don’t have water.
