August 10, 2019 - Joaquin First United Methodist Church is hosting a blood drive at the Mind Body Spirit Health Fair on Saturday, August 10 from 10am until 3m at 105 Faulkville Road.
Giving blood doesn't end with a cookie. The Beyond the Donation Blood Drive is about someone in need such as Helen who is a cancer survivor, Josh who is fighting sickle cell, and Erin who survived internal bleeding.
Your precious gift is carefully provided to someone in need. Maybe someone fighting cancer or sickle cell, needed surgery, or was in an accident. Your blood donation could impact the life of someone you know, someone you'll meet, or your closet loved one.

August 9, 2019 - Come to the Body and Soul Health Fair and Revival sponsored by Joaquin Christian Services on Saturday, August 10 from 9am until 3pm at Joaquin First United Methodist Church.
The health fair will offer free hearing tests, vision tests by Golden Eye Associates, dental screening, blood pressure and blood sugar checks by UT Health.
Additional opportunities:
- Cancer Treatment Center will be on hand with information.
- Shelby and Panola Counties V.A. Representatives will be on site.
- UT Health and MD Anderson Cancer Center Tyler will have information.
- Texas Quick Care will be doing school physicals for only $10.
- DOT physicals offered for a reduced rate.
The playground will be open for kids. Everyone is invited to enjoy sno cones, homemade ice cream, watermelon, and more.
Joaquin First United Methodist Church is hosting a revival on August 9th through August 11th. Friday and Saturday service is at 6:30pm and Sunday service is at 10:30am and 6:30pm. You are invited to revival with Evangelist Richard Bolte from Franklin, TN and Broken Vessels from Branson, MO. Bro. Bolte has a ministry that spans the globe, preaching revivals and teaching conferences. Broken Vessels travels across America spreading the Gospel through song and testimony. You don't want to miss these dynamic ministries.
August 8, 2019 - Pastor Marlin Cloudy, Sr., and the Abundant Love Ministries family, will host their Annual Revival, August 15th to 17th, 2019. Services will begin at 7pm, Thursday and Friday night, and at 10am, Saturday morning. Our guest revivalist is Pastor John Russell, Senior Pastor of Calvary Tabernacle, Alexandria, LA. Everyone is welcome and invited!

August 8, 2019 - Back To School Day Camp at Old Home Church will be having Farm Fresh Faith VBS on Saturday, August 10th from 10am to 2pm. There will be Bible Story time, Science Lab, crafts, singing, hot dogs and water games. Everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy the day. Registration is at 9:30am. August 8, 2019 - New Life Church is hosting Crazy Island VBS on Thursday and Friday, "2 Nights Left," August 8th and 9th.
