David's Daily Devotion for September 28

September 28, 2022 - Good Morning!  It’s Wednesday, September 28.

In January of 1990, a church youth group in Burleson, Texas was having a weekend discipleship retreat.  On Saturday night, 10 teenagers, burdened for their classmates, went to their school, stood around the flag pole, and prayed.  From this small beginning, a vision for students to pray for students, began to spread from church to church and from school to school.

That June, 20,000 young people gathered for a rally at Reunion Arena in Dallas, and the vision was shared with them.  And at 7am on September 12, 1990, more than 50,000 kids, in 4 states, gathered around the pole.  The next September there were more than a million.  This morning, 33 years later, over 4 million students will meet for See You at the Pole.

Big things can come from small beginnings.  Never underestimate the power of prayer.

James 5:16 - "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective".

Meet you back here tomorrow,

Bro. David
