August 28, 2024 - This week all five Shelby County varsity football teams will begin their 2024 regular season games.
The Center Roughriders will host the Jacksonville Fighting Indians on Friday, August 30, 2024. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. at Roughriders Stadium.
The Joaquin Rams will host the Frankston Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Rams Stadium.
The Shelbyville Dragons will travel to Troup on Friday for a 7 p.m. kickoff at Tigers Stadium.
The Tenaha Tigers will kickoff with the Elysian Fields Yellowjackets, at Gladewater High School at 7 p.m. on Friday. This game is a Northeast Texas Football Classic showcase game.
Update: Due to a schedule change, the Timpson Bears will now host West Sabine for a 7 p.m. kickoff at Timpson ISD Stadium on Friday.
Our local teams have been preparing with scrimmages the last couple of weeks and conditioning practices and drills which started in early August.
