David's Daily Devotion for July 30

July 30, 2025 - Good Morning! It’s Wednesday, July 30.

I hate to run. I hate running. I’ve always hated running. I just don’t see the point. And have you ever looked at the face of someone who’s running? Do they look happy? They do not. They look miserable. And you know why? Because they’re running! If you see me running down the street, you may safely assume that somebody’s chasing me - somebody big.

On the other hand, I’ve always loved walking. Walking is good exercise, but without all the wear and tear on your body. I try to walk two miles every day. This time of year, though, I have to start early, before the heat wave hits. And early in the morning, you receive a vivid reminder of the beauty of God’s creation. Everything’s fresh, the birds are singing, a new day stretches out before you, and all’s right with the world.

Here’s a few scriptures for this morning.

In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. Psalm 5:3.

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning. Lamentations 3:22.

His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; weeping may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 130:6.

Meet you back here tomorrow,
David
