All five Shelby County public schools will begin regular football season action this week. Junior highs and junior varsity teams will begin play tonight. Varsity games will start this Friday.
The Center Roughriders varsity will start the year travelling to Jacksonville on Friday August 29, 2025 for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff at Fightin’ Indians Stadium.
The Joaquin Rams varsity team will travel to Frankston for an away game at Indians Stadium. Kickoff is at Indians Stadium on Friday, August 29 at 7:30 p.m.
The Shelbyville Dragons varsity will host the Troup Tigers on Friday, August 29 at 7:30 p.m. at Dragons Stadium.
The Tenaha Tigers varsity will travel to Gladewater, a neutral site, to face the Elysian Fields Yellowjackets on Friday in the Northeast Texas Football Classic. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
The Timpson Bears varsity will have an 7:00 p.m. kickoff at West Sabine’s Tigers Stadium on Friday, August 29 at 7 p.m.
