David's Daily Devotion for January 22

January 22, 2026 - Good Morning! It’s Thursday, January 22.

It’s time for your quiz! It’s test day at the Daily Devotion! We’re having a Spelling Bee! My third grade teacher would have a spelling bee every Friday, and I was a very competitive third-grader, so I would always work hard to win. I still work on my spelling. I believe it’s an important communication tool, along with good grammar and proper punctuation. So, here we go - put on your thinking caps!

Today’s spelling test is a spiritual one. The Bible is packed with words that are challenging to spell, and I’ve chosen ten of them. I’ve spotted you the first letter, and supplied the answer - printed backwards (no peeking!). A score of 8-10 - You’re a Bible scholar. 5-7 right - You’re a worthy student of the Word. Less than half correct - Go back to Sunday School!
