Jeffrey Warren Hudman

01/26/2026

Jeffrey Warren Hudman passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the age of 62, doing what he loved most—traveling the world and collecting new experiences with the love of his life, Ann, by his side.

Their adventures began when they met while working at Anderson Manufacturing Company in Tenaha, Texas. After only two months of courtship, Jeff knew that Ann Riley was the one for him, and they married on May 15, 1993. After starting their life together in Tenaha, Jeff began a career in retail management that led them to explore new opportunities, relocating multiple times throughout Louisiana and Georgia, and most recently returning home to East Texas, where they have resided in Longview for the past 16 years.

Jeff was born on November 8, 1963, in Center, Texas, to Noble and Bernice Hudman. He grew up in Timpson, Texas, where he was a proud Bear. Voted Mr. Personality and Most Likely to Succeed, Jeff was deeply involved in his school community. He participated in football, track, and one-act play. He also served as both FFA Piney Woods District Vice President and student council class president.

After high school, Jeff continued to live actively and enthusiastically, pursuing a wide range of interests. His love for sports led him to officiate high school football—a role he cherished even more when he later had the opportunity to share it with his son, Zachary Hudman. When he wasn’t on the football field, Jeff could often be found fishing, playing golf, hunting, losing at the casino, shopping for a good deal anywhere (but especially at Sam’s), planning his next trip, trying a new recipe, cuddling with his very spoiled dog, Oscar, or hosting family and friends.

Jeff had a larger-than-life presence and a truly generous heart. Helping others—no matter how big or small the need—brought him genuine joy. If you needed something and he had it, it was yours. If he didn’t, he would find a way to get it for you. He never hesitated to step in and help—he might grumble the whole time, but that was just his way of saying, “I love you.”
