SC Commissioners’ Court Regular Meeting Agenda, Feb. 11

February 6, 2026 - Notice is hereby given that a Regular meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 11th day of February, 2026 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:

1. Approve the minutes of: January 7th Special Meeting, January 14th Regular Meeting, January 21st Special Meeting, January 28th Special Meeting and January 30th Emergency Meeting.

2. Approve and pay weekly expenses.

3. Approve and pay current payroll.

4. Public comments on Agenda item.

5. Approve Officers Report.

6. Discuss and possibly approve the cancellation of the Commissioners’ Court Special meeting for next Wednesday February 18th, 2026.

7. Discuss and possibly approve the quote to outfit the 2024 Police Interceptor Truck to be purchased by the Sheriff’s Department.

8. County Treasurer to present proposal for alternative internet/phone service for the main Courthouse and options for backup internet.

9. Discuss and possibly approve internet/phone proposal for main Courthouse.

10. Record completion of required continuing education for Ann Blackwell, County Treasurer for FY 2025.

11. Record completion of required Public Funds Investment Act continuing education for Ann Blackwell, County Treasurer, CIA.

12. Discuss and possibly approve using Contingency funds for the excessive storm cleanup/expenses in PCT 4.

Executive Session:

13. An Executive Session will also be held for the purpose of discussing personnel, hearing complaints against personnel, or to deliberate the appointed, employment evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee. The closed session is authorized by the Texas Open Meeting Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.074.

14. Reopen public meeting.

15. Discuss and possibly make a decision on issues in Executive Session.

16. Commissioners’ Court Reports: These are for informational purposes only. Any action that needs to be taken on the basis of these reports will be placed on a future agenda for action.
