February 20, 2026 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 25th of February, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve and pay weekly expenses.
2. Approve and pay current payroll.
3. Public comments on Agenda item.
4. Discuss and possibly approve Precinct 1 to advertise for sealed bids for one (1) surplus bridge.
5. Record the Racial Profiling Exempt Status for Constable PCT 1 Zach Warr.
6. Record the Racial Profiling Exempt Status for Constable PCT 2 Jamie Hagler.
7. Record the Racial Profiling Report for Constable PCT 3 Roy Cheatwood.
8. Record the Racial Profiling Report for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department.
9. Record the Racial Profiling Report for District Attorney, Karren Price.
10. Review and possibly approve “Standards of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy” for the ARPA program close out.
11. Review and possibly approve the “Document Management and Records Retention Policy” for ARPA close out.
12. Review and possibly approve the “Local General Procurement Policies and Procedures Statement” for ARPA close out.
13. Review and possibly approve the “Financial Management Policies and Procedures Policy” for ARPA close out.
14. Annual review of County Investment Policy with the following possible actions:
a. Adopt Resolution of Annual Review of Investment Policy
b. Resolution to Designate County Investment Officer
15. Record the 2025 Continuing Education Hours for County Clerk, Jennifer Fountain.
16. COMMISSIONER’S COURT REPORTS: These are for informational purposes only. Any action that needs to be taken on the basis of these reports will be placed on a future agenda for action.
