March 12, 2026 - The Shelbyville Powerlifting team competed at the Boys Region 3 Division 4 Regional Powerlifting Meet held on Thursday, March 5th, at the Arp High School in Arp, Texas and has two lifters to medal with one advancing to the State Meet.
Hunter Harvey placed nineth in the 148 Weight Class. His lifts were squat 350 lbs, bench press 225 lbs, dead lift 395 lbs. His total lifts were 970 lbs.
Emanuel Cardena placed nineth in the 220 Weight Class. His lifts were squat 430 lbs, bench press 305 lbs, dead lift 380 lbs. His total was 1,115 lbs.
Cason Lee placed third and is a Medalist in the 275 Weight Class. His lifts were squat 600 lbs, bench press 325 lbs, dead lift 500 lbs. His total was 1,425 lbs.
Serigo Reyes placed second and is a Medalist and State Qualifier in the 181 Weight Class with a total weight of 1,305 lbs. His lifts were squat 500 lbs, bench press 290 lbs, and dead lift 515 lbs.
Sergio Reyes will be traveling to compete in the State Powerlifting meet in Abilene, Texas, on March 27th.
