F.L. Moffett "Alex's Lemonade Stand" Has Record Sales

April 23, 2026 - F.L. Moffett Students once again hosted “Alex’s Lemonade Stand” on Friday, April 17, 2026, where they raised $2,620.

Students set up their lemonade stand on Friday morning, displaying signs and shouting that they had lemonade for sale.

Alex’s Lemonade stand raises funds in support of finding a cure for all children with cancer.

This year the students surpassed previous year fundraisers and accumulated $2,620 after setting a goal of $1,200.

2025 - Goal $1,000, squeezed in $1,604
2024 - Goal $1,000, squeezed in $1,302
2023 - Goal $200, squeezed in $1,766

According to the foundation's website, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation was formed to help fight childhood cancer, and its founder was four years old when she told her parents she wanted to set up a lemonade stand in her family’s front yard. While fighting her own cancer, the intent was of giving the money raised to doctors to help them find a cure for childhood cancers.
