David's Daily Devotion for April 30

April 30, 2026 - Good Morning! It’s Thursday, April 30.

You probably realize that every day of the year has dozens and dozens of special “national” observances. Today, for instance, is National Golf Day, National Adopt a Pet Day, National Oatmeal Cookie Day, and, of course, National Bugs Bunny Day. If you doubt me on any of this, I remind you that today is also... National Honesty Day!

And April 30, this year, is Thank You Thursday. What’s that? Well, the last Thursday of April is set aside as a time, an opportunity, to remember those people who have made a difference in our lives, have been a blessing, have been an instrument of God’s blessing. The Apostle Paul took that opportunity in Philippians 1:3-6 -

“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the Gospel from the first day until now. And I am confident that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion, until the day of Christ Jesus.”

A “Thank You Thursday” thank you to all of you who are faithful readers of these Daily Devotions!

Meet you back here tomorrow,
David
